Who You Are

You’re an experienced Software Engineer with a strong software engineering background who enjoys working on high-impact, project-driven initiatives. You’re comfortable blending deep technical code reviews with data literacy and a hands-on approach to large-scale distributed systems.

You approach observability as an engineering problem, focusing on reducing operational costs, streamlining log data, and enabling engineers with reliable, efficient, and maintainable tooling.

What You’ll Do

• Review Python and Kotlin codebases to identify and remove unused or redundant log events to improve system performance and reduce noise.
• Analyze log data patterns to identify the largest sources of volume and associated costs, translating those findings into architectural improvements.
• Provide high-tier developer support by assisting engineers with observability tooling configuration and usage.
• Document the entire project lifecycle, including initial findings, architectural changes, and long-term recommendations for the platform.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role with a heavy emphasis on software development.
• Experience with Python or Kotlin.
• Strong proficiency with programming, alongside experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Solid experience using scripting and querying tools to process, interpret, and act upon large, complex datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive projects to completion.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated experience working with large-scale observability systems such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Flink, Fluent, ELK Stack, Chronosphere, or Splunk.
