As a Backend Software Developer, you will design, build, and enhance backend services and APIs that support business-critical workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver backend capabilities that balance quality, scalability, security, and speed.
Your contributions will drive impact by improving system performance, strengthening reliability, and enabling data-driven solutions at scale.
Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Java and modern engineering practices.
Build and operate cloud-ready solutions on AWS (compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring).
Design, query, and optimize data models and workflows using SQL.
Ensure high quality through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and documentation.
Troubleshoot production issues, improve observability, and implement performance optimizations.
Participate in technical design discussions, sprint planning, and continuous improvement in an Agile environment.
Mentor teammates and promote best practices in backend architecture, code quality, and security.
8+ years of experience in software development delivering backend systems in production.
Strong hands-on expertise with Java in enterprise and/or high-scale environments.
Solid experience building, deploying, and operating solutions on AWS.
Strong SQL skills, including data modeling and performance tuning.
Experience designing and maintaining APIs and backend integrations.
Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across functions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
