Who You Are

You’re a Senior Backend Software Engineer focused on building, maintaining, and evolving backend systems using Microsoft technologies. You write a significant amount of production code using C# and Visual Basic on .NET Framework, and you are comfortable contributing to modernization efforts using .NET Core.

You care deeply about code quality, reliability, and maintainability, and you’re experienced working in environments that combine legacy systems with modern tools. This is a hands-on senior role with no people management responsibilities.

You work closely with Product, Data, and multiple engineering teams to design backend services, data solutions, and integrations that support critical business applications.

What You’ll Do

• Write and maintain backend code using C#, Visual Basic, and .NET Framework, while contributing to services built with .NET Core.

• Design backend components and contribute directly to their implementation, balancing scalability, performance, and long-term ownership.

• Work cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Build and maintain database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, including tables, functions, stored procedures, and performance optimizations.

• Develop, support, and enhance data integration and reporting solutions using SSIS and SSRS.

• Support and evolve web applications built with .NET and VBScript, leveraging JavaScript and CSS where needed.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen system quality, reliability, and team effectiveness.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend or Software Engineer, with senior-level responsibilities.

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET technologies, including C#, Visual Basic, and .NET Framework.

• Practical experience working with .NET Core.

• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced queries, stored procedures, and database best practices.

• Experience with SSIS and SSRS for data integration and reporting.

• Experience supporting or developing web applications using .NET, VBScript, JavaScript, and CSS.

• Strong understanding of backend system design and how architectural decisions impact maintainability and performance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort working in distributed, asynchronous teams.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to surface risks, dependencies, and technical trade-offs clearly.

• Passion for collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Data, and Business stakeholders.

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.

• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate.
